Members
of the Junior League of Pine Bluff are women who come together to
develop effective and responsive programs to meet different needs
for the community. Our projects for the 2008-2009 league year
will benefit the following: Arts & Science Center for Southeast
Arkansas, Boys and Girls Club, CASA, Children's Advocacy Center,
Downtown Development, Greater Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Kids
First, Literacy Council, Neighbor-to-Neighbor, Pine Bluff Festival
Association, Salvation Army,
Seabrook and Special Olympics.
In an effort to
serve the children of Pine Bluff and surrounding communities, our
organization raises money through various fundraisers. This year
these fundraisers include our two very successful cookbooks, Southern
Accent and Southern Accent: A Second Helping,
"Spice Up Your
Southern Accent" Chili
Cook-Off, Ragin Cajun, a laid-back time to dance, hang with your
friends, meet new ones, and enjoy delicious crawfish and all the
fixins'! In addition, there are several ways you can help us
with these projects without ever having to leave the comfort of your
home or open your pocketbook. Whether you shop through iGive
or Amazon, search through Prodegé or Goodsearch, or simply donate
your used and unwanted cell phones, even the smallest token can make
a great impact.
